Homemade Mango Boba! 🌟 refreshing drink

Mango Boba (or Mango Bubble Tea) is a refreshing drink made with mango puree, tapioca pearls, and a base of tea or milk. Here's how to make it at home:

Ingredients

For the Mango Base:

  • 2 ripe mangoes (peeled and diced) or 1 cup mango puree
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based) or coconut milk for a tropical twist
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup ice

For the Tapioca Pearls (Boba):

  • 1/2 cup tapioca pearls
  • 4 cups water (for boiling the pearls)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar or honey (for sweetening pearls)

Optional Add-ons:

  • 1/2 cup brewed tea (green, black, or jasmine) for a tea base
  • Whipped cream (for topping)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Tapioca Pearls

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add tapioca pearls and cook for 5–7 minutes (or as directed on the package). Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  3. Turn off the heat, cover, and let sit for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Drain and rinse the pearls under cold water.
  5. Mix the pearls with 2 tablespoons of brown sugar or honey for sweetness.

Step 2: Make the Mango Puree

  1. Blend mango chunks, milk, sugar, and ice in a blender until smooth.
  2. Taste and adjust sweetness or milk as needed.
  3. If using tea, add it during blending for a mango tea boba version.

Step 3: Assemble the Mango Boba

  1. Add a few spoonfuls of sweetened tapioca pearls to the bottom of a glass.
  2. Pour the mango puree over the pearls.
  3. Top with whipped cream if desired.
  4. Serve with a wide straw to enjoy the pearls and the mango drink together.
